The number on retaining walling system on the market today. Keystone uses a unique high strength fixing system which securely locks the component parts in place. At the centre of the system are pultruded fibreglass pins which offer a high shear strength that will last the lifetime of the wall.

Can I build a curved wall with Keystone?

Yes, it is possible to create both convex and concave curves with Keystone.

What fill material can be used behind a Keystone Wall?

The fill material typically falls within the general guidelines of 6I/6J as per the Specification for Highway Works and is deemed to be a well or uniformly graded granular material.

What is the Maximum height of wall without the use of geogrid?

A gravity Keystone wall can be built up to around 1m. Employing the use of Insitu concrete behind the wall can increase this height up to approximately 1.8m.

What length will the grid extend behind the wall?

The grid length is typically around 0.7 times the height of the wall however the minimum grid length to comply with BS 8006 is 3m.

What reinforcing grids can be used behind the wall?

The BBA certificate held by Anderton Concrete is based upon the use of Tensar 500 series grids. Other grids can be used behind a Keystone wall but this would be at the designer’s discretion and they would need to ensure that the use of a different grid complies with all the relevant regulations.

How do I drain a Keystone reinforced earth structure?

The normal design for a reinforced earth wall has a 300mm zone directly behind the wall formed from a 4-20mm angular drainage stone feeding into a drainage pipe at the bottom that leads to the site drainage system

Can I install a barrier at the top of the wall?

Yes, however this should be behind the wall and not fixed directly to the top of the wall.

Can I build a terraced wall with Keystone?

Yes, however the design of this should be fully checked by an engineer as the grid lengths in the lower wall may need to be longer than typical to satisfy stability requirements.

How many blocks are in a pack?

There are 24 Keystone Compac blocks in a pack which covers 2.194m²

How many blocks are there per m² of wall?

There are 10.941 blocks per m² of wall.
