UK Sepsis Trust

National Rail Manager, Sharon Rice, was recently involved in organising a street party in support of the UK Sepsis Trust and the event managed to raise £4167. This money will help UK Sepsis Trust to continue to raise awareness and to find new ways to treat the illness. Sepsis accounts for 44,000 deaths annually in the UK, which is more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. Sepsis is the acute bodily reaction to infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

The event was in memory of Jessica Wallis who sadly passed away at 3 years old, her father Scott is taking part in a Tough Mudder event later in the year and anyone wishing to donate to this worthy cause can do so by following the link below.
