Manchester Spine Road

Anderton Concrete are currently supplying their Keystone Retaining Wall system to a project at Manchester Airport which will create a new Spine Road connecting with the existing road network near Terminal 2. Almost 1000m² of block will be used to form the two back to back walls which will rise up to just over 5m in height. The new road forms part of the Airport City North development scheme which will be one of the most exciting business destinations in the UK and one of the most significant since the Olympic Park development in 2012 covering 5 million sq ft at a cost of £650m

The main contractor on the project is GPL Civil Engineering and PC Construction are installing the reinforced earth structure. The walls will be predominantly Dark Grey in colour with band courses of Light Grey and should be complete around mid-June 2017.
