Rail Live 2016 (Friday, July 8, 2016)
Rail Live 2016   Over two days in mid-June, at the Quinton Rail Technology Centre, Warwickshire, Rail Live 2016 took place and it turned out to be the best event yet with over 6000 visitors and 272 exhibitors. The weather was kind for the duration of the event which allowed visitors plenty of time to walk around the exhibition, have discussions about the latest product innovations and listen to numerous enthralling presentations.   Anderton Concrete’s prominent location helped to generate plenty of interest in the range of products on display. UK Sepsis Trust (Monday, June 20, 2016)
National Rail Manager, Sharon Rice, was recently involved in organising a street party in support of the UK Sepsis Trust and the event managed to raise £4167. This money will help UK Sepsis Trust to continue to raise awareness and to find new ways to treat the illness. Sepsis accounts for 44,000 deaths annually in the UK, which is more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined. Sepsis is the acute bodily reaction to infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition. Boys & Boden - Chester (Thursday, June 9, 2016)
National Fencing & Building Manager, Neil Cross, attended the new Boys & Boden in Chester yesterday and had the opportunity to meet TV Personality Tommy Walsh, who was there to cut the ribbon to officially open the branch. Tommy was on hand to offer advice from his wealth of knowledge and experience to all those who attended and it was also an opportunity to see first-hand the hard work that Boys & Boden had put into getting the new branch open. Neil also had the chance to meet a number of valuable contacts from both Boys & Boden and their customer base.

Stepoc Reaching Further afield (Wednesday, May 11, 2016)
Anderton Concrete have expanded their coverage of the UK by recently suppling approximately 165m² of its Stepoc concrete shuttering block to a project on the Orkney Islands. The blocks are being used for a new retaining wall to the rear of a property on the island and may hopefully lead to further inquiries in the future. Stepoc is a system of concrete shutering blocks that are highly-engineered and dimensionally co-ordinated. Anderfin Approval (Wednesday, May 11, 2016)
Anderton now have Network Rail product approval for Ander-Fin following a successful trial at Rossett Junction. Ander-Fin is a theft Deterrent product which anchors the cables into the trough and can be used every metre in high risk areas. Certificate number PA05/06331.

Tinsley Bus Rapid Transit Link (Tuesday, June 9, 2015)
Anderton Concrete are currently supplying their Keystone Retaining wall system to a new scheme in Sheffield. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) North is a high quality and efficient public transport service that has been developed to help people travel into and between the centres of Rotherham and Sheffield. It will provide access to existing leisure, commercial and manufacturing facilities as well as facilitating economic growth by providing links to existing and proposed employment sites in the Lower Don Valley. Slopeloc at Barratts Homes, Wyke (Monday, May 18, 2015)
The recent completion of a large Slopeloc project has shown the versatility of this product and its ability to provide an aesthetic alternative to other more popular retaining wall solutions. The scheme at Wyke near Bradford was constructed by specialist contractors Thomas Ben and was designed by PaSCoE, a engineering consultancy based in Preston. The Slopeloc wall forms a visually appealing entrance to a new Barratts Homes Site, covering an expanse of some 270m² and rising to almost 4m high in places. The wall features a gradual curve as the entrance to the new development cuts into the hillside, with the Slopeloc being used to face up the soil nailed slope. Anderton achieve ISO 14001:2004 certification
Following quickly on the back of the success in achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification for the Quality Management System, Anderton Concrete is pleased to announce it has now achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification for the Environmental Management System for the Northwich site. Ridgeons Meet the Merchant event
Ridgeons, who are part of the newly formed buying group Fortis, played host to 30 key suppliers at the annual day-long event held recently in Cambridge. Having won the contract to supply Fortis with pre-cast concrete fencing and building products in January this year Anderton Concrete were delighted to be invited to attend. The event saw suppliers partake in over 300 one-to-one meetings with Ridgeons sales representatives: The focus of which were to discuss opportunities for undertaking business more efficiently and effectively, while also furthering working relationships.
